It is our great honor to announce the XIth International Symposium on Blood Substitutes (XIth ISBS) which will be held in Beijing, China, 19th-22nd Oct. 2007. On behalf of the Hosting Organizations, we are delighted to invite you to participate in the XIth ISBS.

XIth ISBS will bring together international experts and local researchers with diverse backgrounds to address a wide variety of topics of significant interest in “blood substitutes” or “oxygen therapeutics” to consolidate the development and expansion in this field and to establish new frontiers. The XIth ISBS provides a valuable platform where delegates from all over the world can exchange knowledge from their recent experimental and clinical practices on blood substitutes. There will be plenty of opportunities for academic exchange and experience sharing. We are sure you will find your participation is very rewarding. We look forward to share with you the spirit of the theme slogan for the Beijing Olympic: One World One Dream.

The common dream of all of us is to find and develop new use of blood substitutes, not only as volume expanders and oxygen carriers in acute clinical needs but also as oxygen therapeutics for major diseases such as cancer, myocardial ischemia and many other hypoxic conditions.
